Four Knights Names to CSAC Women's Soccer All-Conference Team

ASTON, Pa. – Four Neumann University women’s soccer played were named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) all-conference teams, announced Sunday. 

Colleen Rush and Maria Tivoli both earned second-team honors. Gina Juliano and Alexis Tiernan were named honorable mention. 

Rush, who earned honorable mention in 2008, played in 17 games this season. She scored one goal in a 5-0 win against Lancaster Bible. She also notched an assist in a 2-0 win at Cedar Crest. In her four years as a Knight, the midfielder played in 71 games, scored three goals and added two assists. Rush also received the Sportsmanship Award for Neumann. 

Tivoli started in all 18 games as a freshman. The defender notched a goal and two assists. Her goal came against Sweet Briar College in a 3-0 win. 

Juliano led the team with seven goals this season, including three game-winners. In her three years at Neumann, the forward has played in 48 games and scored nine goals. This is her first all-conference award. 

Tiernan played in 17 games this season and scored a goal and two assists. Her goal came in a 5-0 win against Lancaster Bible. 

Neumann finished the season 8-9-1 overall and 4-6 in the conference. The eight overall wins and four conference wins ties the Knights for the most in a season. Neumann was 8-12 in 2001 and this is the fourth time the Knights have four conference wins.
