Field Hockey Falls in Last Minute

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Cabrini College scored with 22 seconds left in regulation to win 2-1 over the Neumann University field hockey team in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship Game Saturday afternoon on the campus of Immaculata University.
 

Lauren Hood notched the goal for Neumann. The senior scored 26:17 into the first half off of a rebound to put the Knights up 1-0. Neumann would hold the 1-0 lead at halftime. 

The Cavaliers knotted the game at one 6:30 into the second half. As time was winding down, Cabrini scored with 22 seconds left on the clock for the 2-1 win and the 2009 CSAC Championship. 

Maggie Carpenter made six saves in net for the Knights. Neumann (10-10) now awaits the release of the ECAC brackets to determine if its postseason play continues.
