Men's Soccer Earns ECAC Tournament Bid

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men’s soccer team earned its first ECAC Tournament bid in the 2009 season. The Knights will be the No. 8 seed in the ECAC Division III South Championship.
Neumann will face the No. 1 seed, Penn State-Behrend on Wednesday beginning at noon. PSU Brehend earned the No. 1 spot after going 15-5-2 this season.
The Knights are currently 9-8-2 and advanced to the semifinals in the Colonial States Athletic Conference playoffs. Neumann fell to Immaculata, 2-1, in the semifinals.
The winner of the Neumann / PSU Brehend contest will face the winner of the 4 / 5 game between Lebanon Valley and DeSales. In the other half to the southern bracket is No. 2 PSU Abington hosting No. 7 Wesley and No. 3 PSU-Altoona hosting No. 6 Stevenson.
The semifinals and finals will be this weekend, November 14 & 15 at the highest remaining seed after play on Wednesday.
