Softball Splits at Centenary, Will Host CSAC Championship

HACKETTSTOWN, Pa. – The Neumann College softball team split with Centenary College on Saturday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) doubleheader. Game scores were Centenary 2, Neumann 1 and Neumann 8, Centenary 4.

 

In game one, Angela Sebasto allowed two runs on three hits in the loss. Caitlin Hanrahan scored the only Knights run.

 

Sarah Olsen hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning to give the Cyclones the win.

 

In game two, Megan Mazur was 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored. Sebasto pitched the complete game to improve to 15-3 on the season.

 

The Knights got on the board in the first inning with two runs. The Cyclones answered with two runs in the bottom of the first. Neumann responded with two more runs in the top of the second to take a 4-2 lead. The Knights padded their lead with a four-run third inning, including a two-run single by Mazur.

 

The Knights finish in first place in the CSAC and will host the Conference Championship this weekend.
