Two Knights Named CSAC Player of the Week

ASTON, Pa. – Kevin Lengyel, of the Neumann College baseball team, and Gabby D’Ambrosio, of the Neumann College women’s lacrosse team, were named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Player of the Week for their respective teams for the week ending April 26.

 

Lengyel batted .714 with five runs, 10 hits, three doubles and five RBI. He also ended the week with a .714 on-base percentage.

 

The Knights went 2-1 last week in conference play over Marywood University. Neumann clinched its first playoff berth in 10 years. In 1999, the Knights were the #1 seed heading into the conference tournament.

D’Ambrosio scored five goals and added one assists against Swarthmore last week. Suring that game, she scored her 200th career goal.

 

The Knights will travel to Cabrini College Wednesday to face the Cavaliers in the CSAC Semifinals. Game-time is slated for 3:30 p.m.
