Women's Lacrosse to Face Cabrini in CSAC Semifinal

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann College women’s lacrosse team has clinched the No. 3 seed in the 2009 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championships. The Knights will face the No. 2 seeded Cabrini College on Wednesday, April 29 at 3:30 p.m. at Cabrini in the semifinals.

 

Gwynedd-Mercy College claimed the top seed in the championships. The Griffins will host Marywood University in the other semifinal.

 

Neumann lost to Cabrini, 20-10, in the meeting earlier this season. The Knights won the second half of the game, 7-5. Colleen Finnegan scored four goals.

 

The Knights finished the season 6-10 overall and 5-2 in the conference. Senior Gabby D’Ambrosio leads the team with 66 goals and 11 assists for 77 points. Freshman Alex Bohen has netted 43 goals and 10 assists. Junior Colleen Finnegan is third on the team with 40 goals and seven assists.

The winner will face the winner of the Gwynedd-Mercy / Marywood game on Saturday in the CSAC Championship game. The game will be played at the highest remaining seed.
