ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann College softball team will travel to Salisbury University for the first round of the NCAA Tournament, announced Monday from the NCAA.

The Knights are the No. 7 seed and will face host No. 2 seeded Salisbury in the first game on Thursday, May 7. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m.

Neumann won the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Title over the weekend. The Knights defeated Immaculata University, 10-0 in five innings, and Centenary College, 2-1, in Day one of the tournament. Day two was rained out. The Knights finished the season 30-10 overall and 20-2 in the conference.

Top-seed Lynchburg (37-6-1) receives a bye in the seven team regional. Other teams in this region are No. 3 Emory (30-10), No. 4 Bridgewater (33-9), No. 5 Christopher Newport (35-7) and No. 6 LaGrange (25-19). The other regional hosts are DePauw University, East Texas Baptist University, Endicott College, Illinois Wesleyan University, Ithaca College, Ramapo College and Simpson College.

Leading the Knights this season is CSAC Player of the Year Angela Sebasto. Sebasto went 18-3 from the circle with a 1.58 ERA. In 128.1 innings pitched, she struck out 182. At the plate, the senior led the team with 45 hits. Batting .381, Sebasto has 28 RBI, 13 doubles and three homeruns.

Jennifer Goslin leads the team with 32 RBI this season. The first-team All-Conference selection is batting .362 with 34 hits and 11 homeruns. Kimberly Kirkpatrick also has 32 RBI this season. The shortstop was named the Most Valuable Player for the CSAC Tournament.
