ASTON, Pa. – Jessica Schroeder, of the Neumann University women’s ice hockey team, was named the ECAC West Player of the Week, announced Monday afternoon. 

Schroeder tallied an amazing nine points in a weekend sweep of Sacred Heart. Froday night, the Knights won 5-3 with the forward finishing with a goal and three assists. On Saturday, Schroeder came back and surpassed that total notching a goal and four assists.  

For the season, Schroeder has eight goals and a team leading 16 assists for 24 points. The forward has one power play goal and one game-tying goal. The junior now ranks No. 1 in the country in assists and No. 2 in points per game.

Neumann is right back on the ice when it travels to Utica College for an ECAC West contest on Tuesday afternoon. The puck is set to drop at 4 p.m.
