Linton and Whetts Recognized by Small College Association.

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Brittany Whetts and Na’Sheed Linton, of the Neumann University basketball teams, were honored by the Small College Coaches Association on Tuesday afternoon during the bi-weekly luncheon.

 

The Sam Cozen Award is named in honor of legendary Drexel and Overbrook High head men's basketball coach Sam Cozen. It is presented to athletes in the small colleges in and around Philadelphia.

Whetts currently is averaging 18.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. She is 33 points away from tying the women’s school record for points in a career. Kaleena Simmons (’00-’04) is the current leader with 1,608 points. The women are 13-4 overall and 8-0 in the conference.

Linton is averaging 16.5 points per game this season to lead Neumann. He also leads the team with 96 assists. The men are 9-8 overall and 7-3 in conference action.
