Whetts Named to CSAC Honor Roll

ASTON, Pa. – Brittany Whetts, of the Neumann University women’s basketball team, was named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) honor roll for the week ending January 31. 

Whetts became the all-time leading scorer for Neumann women’s basketball on Saturday when she surpassed Kaleena Simmons (1,608). She netted 33 points total in the win over Cedar Crest.  

The senior held the Knights to a 3-0 overall record, 2-0 in the CSAC last week. Neumann defeated Immaculata 71-51. Whetts put up 23 points against the Mighty Macs. The Knights then returned home to face non-conference foe Alvernia, and came away with a 78-73 win as the senior netted 25 points. The Neumann wrapped up the week with a 70-63 win over Cedar Crest.

The Knights are 15-4 on the season and a perfect 10-0 in the conference. Neumann travels to Marywood tonight for a CSAC contest. Tip-off is at 6 p.m.
