ASTON, Pa. – Matt Ward and Ross MacKinnon, of the Neumann University men's ice hockey team, earn ECAC West Player and Goalie of the Week honors, respectively, announced Monday afternoon.

Rookie Jordan Zalba was named to the honor roll. 

Ward scored a hat trick and added an assist as the Knights defeated #8 Elmira, 4-3, Saturday evening. Ward scored all three of his goals in the first period. His first goal came on the power play. His third goal came with just three seconds left in the first period. 

MacKinnon made 42 saves and allowed just one goal in a 4-1 win Friday evening over Elmira. He helped keep Elmira scoreless on five power plays. 

Zalba scored the eventual game-winner on Saturday evening. He scored at the 3:43 mark of the second period to put the Knights up by a 4-1 score.

Neumann (13-8-3, 6-5-3 ECAC West) swept #8 Elmira in two key conference games. The Knights will wrap up regular season play this Friday when they host Lebanon Valley on senior night.
