ASTON, Pa. – Jeffrey Bienvenue, of the Neumann University men's ice hockey team, has been named this week's ECAC West Rookie of the Week.

Bienvenue notched a hat trick as Neumann defeated Lebanon Valley 6-2 in its final regular season game. The freshman's first goal, the eventual game-winner, came midway through the first period to put the Knights up 3-0. He then scored a power play goal two minutes into the second. Bienvenue completed his hat trick with a goal at the 14:27 mark on the second period.

Neumann finished the regular season with a 14-8-3 overall record, 7-5-3 in the conference. The Knights head into the playoffs as the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 seed Utica College on Wednesday evening in the first round. The face-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. at Ice Works.
