Knights Place Sixth to Start Spring Season

MIDDLETOWN, Del. – The Neumann University golf team finished sixth out of nine teams Sunday afternoon at the Wilmington University Spring Classic.

St. Thomas Aquinas places first, shooting a 291. Wilmington placed second (294) and St. John Fisher finished third (299). Dowling (302), Swarthmore (308), Neumann (309) came in fourth, fifth and sixth. Dominican (NY) (319), St. Rose (324) and Holy Family (325) rounded out the teams.

Thomas Moran led the Knights, shooting a 74 on the par 71, 6,609 yard course. Chris Donohue and Shane Howey both shot a 78 while Rich Brandel finished with a 79. Keith Mastonardo rounded out the Knights scoring with an 83.

Neumann is back on the course next Tuesday as it participates in the Gettysburg Spring Invitational at The Links at Gettysburg. Tee-off is set for 1 p.m.
