ASTON, Pa. – Neumann University senior Brittany Whetts, of the women’s basketball program, was named to the d3hoop.com Women’s All-Mid-Atlantic Region Team for the 2009-10 season.

Whetts received second-team honors after being named the 2009-10 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Player of the Year.  This is the second time the senior has been named to the All-Mid-Atlantic Region Team. Following her junior season Whetts received first team honors.

Whetts started all 27 games for the Knights. She averaged 20.7 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game in her final season.  The senior shot .712 percent from the foul line. During her senior season Whetts became the all-time leading scorer in Neumann University history, surpassing Tim McKee’s mark of 1,691 set in 1993.

She led the team to the Colonial States Athletic Conference Championship and their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Knights finished the season 20-7.

What makes this the best time of the year?
