Men's Basketball Invited to ECAC Tournament

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men’s basketball team has accepted an invitation to participate in the ECAC South Region Tournament.

The Knights are the No. 7 seed in the seven team tournament and will face No. 2 Bethany on Wednesday in the first round at 7 p.m.

In other first round games, No. 4 Pitt-Bradford will host No. 5 Alvernia and No. 3 Penn State-Behrend will host No. 6 Misericordia. Catholic University received the No. 1 seed and has a bye in the first round.

Neumann is led by senior Na’Sheed Linton, who is averaging 16.6 points and has a team-high 141 assists. His 141 assists set a season record for Neumann. Linton netted his 1,000th career point in the conference championship game against Cabrini last week.

Junior Marquise Boggs is netting 11.9 points per game. Senior Ty Robinson scored 9.4 while Senior Sean Armstrong adds 9.3. Armstrong also pulls down 7.0 rebounds per game. Touré Wright grabs 6.6.

This is Neumann’s first ECAC appearance since the 2002-03 season. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. Wednesday evening.
