ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men’s lacrosse fell to Gwynedd-Mercy College, 11-3, Wednesday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) game.
Matt Toth scored two goals for the Knights. Justin Mailloux netted the other goal. Andrew Neubauer made 15 saves in net.
The Griffins started the game strong and netted the first seven goals of the game. Mailloux broke the shut out with a goal in the second quarter. GMC went into half time with a 7-1 advantage.
Toth netted his first goal with 3:26 left in the third quarter for a 9-2 game. Toth then scored his second goal on a man advantage with 8:02 left in regulation. The Knights just could not cut into the Griffins lead and fell 11-3.
Neumann (1-7, 0-2 CSAC) will travel to Centenary next Wednesday for CSAC action. The game is slated for 4 p.m.
