Men's Tennis Opens Season With Win

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Men’s Tennis won their season opener against Alvernia University, 7-2, in non-conference action on the Bruder Tennis courts Tuesday afternoon.

The Knights took two out of three doubles points. The team of Dan Harnos and Chris Brown defeated Ryan Lineaweaver and Nathan Bauer, 8-3, at the one doubles spot. Brian Crispin and Greg Bridgeman won at second doubles, 8-5, over Jed Spangler and Will Gerber at second doubles. Abe Joseph and Greg Christiansen lost 6-8 at third doubles.

The Knights took five out of six singles points. Brown won at first singles, 6-1, 6-1. Cripsin fell at second singles. Bridgeman clinched the match at third singles 6-2, 6-1.  Harnos won at fourth singles 6-1, 6-0. Christansen won at fifth singles 6-3, 7-5. Joseph won at sixth singles 6-2, 6-4.

The Knights head on the road to face Lebanon Valley on Sunday afternoon. The game is set to start at 12:00 pm.
