Women's Lacrosse Drops Home Opener to Hood

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women’s lacrosse team fell 14-8 to Hood College on Tuesday evening.

Neumann’s offense was paced by Alex Bohen who scored three goals. Lauren Frampton added two more goals for the Knights. Kathleen Sinclair had 16 saves in net. 

The Blazers had three players with multiple goals. Caitlin Lawrence and Kelsey Blackwell each netted four goals. Brandy Noel contributed three goals.

Neumann took control of the play early in the first half. The Knights went up 4-0 in the first 10 minutes. The Blazers quickly responded with a strong finish to the half, netting seven goals in the final fifteen minutes. Hood held a 7-4 advantage at halftime. 

The Knights quickly responded with goals from Tiffany Baker and Bohen just six minutes into the second half. Neumann then struggled defensively and allowed Hood score six unanswered goals. The Knights held the Blazers scoreless for the final ten minutes of play and netted two goals of their own before the end of regulation. Neumann fell short in the 14-8 loss.

Neumann is back in action on Saturday afternoon when they host Moravian College. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
