Men's Golf Finishes Fifth at Widener Invitational

WILMINGTON, Del. – The Neumann University golf team placed fifth out of 10 teams at the Widener Invitational Monday afternoon.

Swarthmore finished first on the afternoon, shooting 309. Immaculata and Villanova tied for second with a 322. Cabrini came in fourth (330) and Neumann placed fifth (332). Widener was one stroke behind the Knights for sixth place (333).

Keith Mastronardo led the Knights, shooting a 78 on the par 70, 6,451 yard course. Matt Waddington finished the afternoon with an 84. Chris Donohue, Shane Howey and Tom Moran all shot an 85 to round out the scoring.

Rich Brandel (79) and Jeremy Gates (96) also golfed for the Knights.

Neumann will compete at the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championships this weekend.
