AVONDALE, Pa . - The Neumann University golf team is in second place after Day 1 of the Colonial States Athletic Conference Championship.
Cabrini is in first place with a team total of 321. Neumann is eight shots behind with 329. Keystone is currently third (331), Philadelphia Biblical fourth (339), Immaculata fifth (349), Centenary sixth (353) and Baptist Bible seventh (365).
Thomas Moran (jr. Rosemont, Pa. / St. Joe's Prep) led the Knights on the first day of the pat 70, 6,516 yard course with an 80. Shane Howey (sr. Haddonfield, N.J. / Haddon Township) and Chris Donahue (so. Wilmington, Del. / St. Elizabeth) shot an 82. Rich Brandel (sr. Hatfield, Pa. / Lansdale Catholic) and Matt Waddington (sr. Salem, N.J. / Salem) both had an 85.
The teams will complete Round 2 tomorrow for the CSAC Championship.
