Men's Tennis Completes CSAC Action with Win Over BBC

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men’s tennis team wrapped-up Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action with an 8-1 win over Baptist Bible College Saturday afternoon.

Neumann opened the afternoon by honoring its three seniors; Dan Harnos, Brian Crispin and Abe Joseph.

The Knights then took two-out-of-three points in doubles action. Harnos and Chris Brown won first doubles over Samuel Meade and Aaron McCauley, 8-1. Crispin and Greg Bridgeman then won second doubles, 8-6, over Ryne Davies and Aaron Hixson. The third doubles match came down to a tie breaker, 9-8 (8-6), as Michael Brandon and Zachary Tornow picked-up the Defenders lone point over Abe Joseph and Andrew Raimundo.

Neumann took all six singles matches. Brown won first singles over Meade, 6-0, 6-2. Bridgeman defeated Davies, 6-4, 6-4.  Crispin took third singles winning over Hixson 6-4, 6-4. Harnos blanked McCauley, 6-0, 6-0, at fourth singles. Greg Christensen won his fifth singles match over Brandon 6-1, 6-1 and Joseph won sixth singles, 6-0, 6-1, over Tornow.

The Knights finish conference play with a 6-1 record. Neumann is now 8-7 overall. The Knights will host Messiah on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in non-conference action as they wait for the CSAC playoffs next weekend.
