WINCHESTER, Va. – The Neumann University men’s lacrosse team wrapped-up its Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) schedule with a 17-6 win over Shenandoah University Thursday afternoon.

 

Justin Mailloux and Matt Toth each scored five goals for the Knights. Mailloux also added three goals. Tom Hedrick added two goals and three assists and James McCauley netted two goals apiece. Mark Consolo dished out two goals. Andrew Neubauer made 17 saves in net.

 

Neumann netted four goals in the first quarter, including two by Mailloux, for a 4-0 advantage. Shenandoah scored the three goals in the second quarter and the Knights held the 4-3 lead at halftime.

 

The Knights came out shooting to start the second half and scored seven straight goals for an 11-3 lead. The Hornets scored three goals before McCauley netted a goal with two seconds left in the third quarter for a 12-6 Knight advantage.

 

Neumann kept Shenandoah off the board in the fourth quarter while netting five goals for the 17-6 final.

 

The Knights (3-10, 2-4 CSAC) will conclude the 2010 season on Saturday at Moravian. The game is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
