ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Neumann University men’s lacrosse team fell to Moravian College, 17-12, to conclude the 2010 season Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
Dominic Collichio led the Knights with four goals and three assists. Matt Toth added three. Tom Hedrick had two goals and four assists while Justin Mailloux each netted two goals. Andrew Neubauer made 19 saves in net.
David Bennett, Robert Devine and Christopher Mohapp all scored four goals for Moravian. Benjamin Leavy had 17 saves in net.
The teams battled back and forth in the first quarter. However, the Greyhounds took a one goal advantage, 6-5, as time expired.
Moravian out scored Neumann 4-2 in the second quarter and took a 10-7 lead into the halftime.
After the teams each scored a run in the third, The Greyhounds scored six of the next seven goals to take a 17-9 lead. The Knights did not go lightly and scored the final three goals of the game, but the earlier deficit was too much to overcome.
Neumann ends its season 3-11 overall and 2-4 in conference action.
