ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team will face Gwynedd-Mercy College in the first round of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) playoffs on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
The Knights enter the CSAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed. Gwynedd-Mercy is the No. 2 seed. In the other first round game, No. 1 Keystone College hosts No. 4 Centenary College.
The Griffins took 2-of-3 in the season series. Russell Gilliam went 6.1 innings in the Knights 11-2 win. He allowed two runs on four hits and struck out seven. Gary Mitchell led the offense with three RBI and three runs scored.
All four teams will move to Boyertown, Pa. for the Championship Rounds, beginning on Friday. The first game (those teams that lose on Wednesday) will face each other at 11 a.m. on Friday.
Tickets for the Championship will be $5 for adults and $2 for students and will be all-day passes.
