Men's Tennis Falls in Championship Match

SPRINGFIELD, Pa. – The Neumann University men’s tennis team’s quest for a third straight conference title fell short on Monday afternoon as it fell to Marywood University, 5-2, in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship match.
The Knights took two-out-of-three points in doubles action to start the match. Greg Bridgeman and Brian Crispin won Neumann’s first point at second doubles, 8-5, over Daniel Pfafman and Barrett Wentworth. Chris Brown and Dan Harnos then won first doubles over Evan Bolus and Greg Chilson, 8-6.
Marywood then won four singles match, first, second, third and fifth, within a few seconds of each other to get the four points it needed for the win.
Neumann finishes the season 9-10 overall.
