ASTON, Pa. – Gary Mitchell, of the Neumann University baseball team, was named to the ECAC Division III South Second Team and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Mid-Atlantic Third Team for the 2010 season.

Mitchell was also named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) first team earlier this season. 

Mitchell has played in all 39 games this season and started in 38.  The junior is batted .410 on the season with 55 hits, including a team leading nine homeruns. He also had 11 doubles and drove in 51 runs and scored 46.  Mitchell had played strong defensively in the outfield with 59 putouts.

The Knights finished the 2010 season with a 20-18-1 record and received its second straight ECAC South Tournament bid.
