DOVER, Del. – The Neumann University women’s soccer team defeated Wesley College, 2-1, Saturday night in non-conference action.

Heather Hopkins and Alexis Tiernan scored the goals for the Knights. Jacqueline McAllister made five saves in net in the win.

Both teams were kept off of the board in the first half. Wesley scored the first goal in the 60^th minute.  Hopkins tied the game at one off of a free kick. Tiernan tallied the game-winner as Welsey failed to clear the ball from its end. 

The Wolverines outshot the Knights 12-9 in the game. Neumann had six of its shots in the second half. 

Neumann (1-1) will host Washington (Md.) College on Wednesday under the lights. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. on the turf field.
