ASTON, Pa. – Andrew Leissing, of the men's soccer team, was named this week's Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Player of the Week.
Leissing netted five goals and added an assist as the Knights started their season with a 2-0 record. In Neumann's 5-0 win over St. Mary's (Md.), the junior had three goals and an assist. He scored two goals in two and a half minutes to put the Knights up by a 3-0 score just 13 minutes in to the game. Leissing's third goal came on a penalty shot in the 37th minute.
In the 3-2 win over Wilkes, Leissing scored the game-winning goal on a penalty shot in the 68th minute. He scored his first goal of the afternoon in the sixth minute of the game to put Neumann up to an early 2-0 lead.
Neumann (2-0) will travel to Stevenson University for a non-conference game tomorrow afternoon. Tip-off is slated for 4 p.m.
