ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team fell to Washington (Md.) College, 2-1, Wednesday evening in non-conference action.
Neumann struck early when Heather Hopkins scored on a rebound just under two minutes in. The score would remain Knights 1, Shorewomen 0 into halftime.
Washington then struck in the 64th minute to even the score at one. Just under three minute later, the Shorewomen scored again to take a 2-1 lead.
Neumann's Olivia Pryzbylkowski had a chance from the top of the box, but the Washington goalie made a save and the rebound went off of the post.
Jacqueline McAllister made six saves in net for the Knights.
Neumann (2-1) will go on the road for the next four games, beginning with Susquehanna next Wednesday beginning at 4:30 p.m.
