CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team defeated Cortland St. 4-2 Friday evening in ECAC West action.

Cortland got on the board first with a goal 5:52 into the first period. Lynsey Nakamura tied the game at one on an unassisted goal midway through the first.

Dru Austin put the Knights up 2-1 5:25 into the second period. Kayla Dubowski netted the eventual game-winner 3:18 into the third period for a 3-1 Neumann lead. Edie Brenning added an insurance goal at the 13:39 mark. The Red Dragons scored with 1:34 left in regulation, but it was too little too late.

Allie Frank notched her first win of the season with 19 saves. Diane Peters notched two assists in the game.

Neumann is now 9-6-3 overall and 6-6-1 in the conference. These two teams will meet again tomorrow afternoon beginning at 3 p.m.
