Women's Lacrosse Falls in Semifinals

SCRANTON, Pa. – The No. 5 Neumann University women's lacrosse team fell to No. 1 seeded Marywood University 21-13 on Wednesday evening in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) semifinal.

 

Erica Crabtree led the Knights in scoring in four goals. Meghan Garsey, Alexandra Bohen and Emily Glackin all netted two goals. Garsey also notched two assists. Sam Kotowski made 15 saves in net.

 

Marywood scored the first five goals of the game in the first six minutes. Garsey and Crabtree put Neumann on the board for a 5-2 score. The Pacers notched three straight goals in a 10 minute span and took a 14-6 advantage into halftime.

 

Chelsa O'Donnell scored the first goal of the second half to make the score 14-7. The Knights then scored three straight goals, two by Glackin, to make the score 15-10 with 11:46 left in regulation.

 

The Pacers then outscored the Knights 2-1 over the final 10 minutes en route to the 21-13 final.

 

Neumann ends the season 7-9 overall.
