Armory, N.Y. - The Knights competed last Friday in The Great Dane Classic and both men's and women's team did not place.
In a strong field of mostly division I colleges, the Knights competed at a high level. In the 4 x 400; Adrienne Tingba, Ciera Heath, Janelle Fontaine and Bethany Lang finished 23rd with a 4:29.40 time.
Two Knights ran the 60 meter dash; Ciera Heath finished 39th crossing the finish line in 8.15, Jayee Wright was 41st with an 8.23 time.
Mia Hicks was the other Knight to compete, as she finished 48th in the 400 meter dash with a 1:02.96 time.
On the men's side, Dominic Pileggi had a go performing in the pole vault, but he wasn't able to qualify for a ranking.
“I feel we did very well considering that we were competing against a lot of division I schools. We'll only continue to get better playing against high level opponents,” said Coach Whiting.
The men's and women's indoor track team will compete this weekend in the Muhlenberg Invitational January 27.
