Volleyball Reaches Out To Drexel-Neumann Academy

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team visit's Drexel-Neumann Academy on January 10th. Often the volleyball team partakes in community service and working with the children at Drexel-Neumann was their destination.

 

Drexel-Neumann Academy is a small private school based Chester, Pa. It is of Franciscan spirituality and diversified instruction that will promote an environment which recognizes the giftedness of each child. Neumann University sponsors Drexel-Neumann Academy and the Knights Athletic teams commit to various programs at the Academy.

 

“I love visiting schools and trying to have a positive impact on children in general, but our volleyball family really looks forward to these events”, mentioned volleyball member Caitlin Cantwell.

 

The volleyball girls with swagger like “jagger” are the fabric of what Neumann University is really about. Not only do they excel in the classroom and on the court, they're reaching out to the community and our youth broadening the extended family concept.

 

“This is my first year visiting Drexel-Neumann and the kids were so excited to see us. I immediately felt welcomed and didn't want to leave”, said freshman Elaina Shooster. “I can't wait to go back and visit again.”
