Women's Lacrosse Fall in CSAC First Round

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team fell to Centenary College 13-9 on Saturday afternoon in the first round of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) playoffs.

 

Alexandra Bohen netted five goals to lead the Knights. Sam Kotowski made 13 saves in net.

 

The teams battled back and forth in the first half, with four tied scores. The Cyclones then netted two straight goals to take a 6-4 lead with 1:35 left on the clock. Suzanne Sheehan put the ball in the back of the net with 32 seconds left for a 6-5 score heading into halftime.

 

Centenary started to pull away in the beginning of the second half, scoring the first four goals. Bohen then netted two goals. The Cyclones answered with two goals. Bohen scored two straight goals again for a 12-9 game. Centenary capped the scoring with nine seconds left on the clock for the 13-9 final.

 

Neumann (10-6) will now wait for the ECAC South Tournament announcement on Monday, May 7 to see if its season will continue.
