LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team defeated Cairn University in three sets, 3-0, on Thursday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) semifinal action. With the win, the Knights advance to the CSAC Championship on Saturday at Cabrini.

The set scores were 25-20, 25-29, 25-22. Katelin Kuklentz and Kelsey D'Imperio led the Knights will 11 kills each. Kat Wolf notched 23 assists. Julia Malseed anchored the defense with 12 digs.

In the first set, the Highlanders took a 14-9 lead early on. The Knights chipped their way back into the set. Danielle Kwapisz served nine straight t points and Neumann took a 21-15 lead and finished the set 25-20.

The Knights used the momentum in the second set and came away with the 25-19 win. The Highlanders did not want to give up easily and kept pace with the Knights in the third set. A kill by Kuklentz sealed the win and sends the Knights to their third straight CSAC Championship appearance.

Neumann is now 22-13 overall this season and will face Cabrini in Radnor, Pa. on Saturday.
