Knights Fall to No. 5 Cavaliers in CSAC Semifinals

RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team fell to No. 5 Cabrini College 25-7 on a rainy Tuesday evening in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) semifinal contest.

In their first playoff game since 2002, the Knights were led by Chris Scott with three goals. Ryan Lee added two goals while Ryan Eber and Ryan O'Kane each found the back of the net. Patrick Rose handed out three assists while Jordan Klunk added one. Alex Becker made 12 saves in net.

Unlike the first meeting earlier this season, the Knights were able to score in each quarter. O'Kane put the Knights on the board in the first quarter to cut the Cavaliers lead to 2-1. Eber netted his goal with 2:30 left in the first for a 4-2 game.

Lee and Scott each scored a goal in the second quarter, but Cabrini was able to net seven and take a 12-4 lead into halftime.

Lee scored Neumann's only goal of the third quarter. Scott netted two more goals in the final 15 minutes, including the final goal of the game with 1:25 remaining.

Cabrini will host Marywood for the CSAC title on Saturday.

Neumann finishes its season 6-10.
