WILKES BARRE, Pa. – The Neumann University men's soccer team fell 2-1 as King's (Pa.) College scored the game-winning goal with less than three minutes left in regulation in the 2014 season opener Friday afternoon.

The Monarchs took a 1-0 lead in the 11^th minute and held that one goal advantage into the second half.

Tben Donnie found the back of the net for the Knights in the 72^nd minute to knot the game at one. Christian Cortese dished out his first collegiate assist on the goal.

As the game looked to be headed to overtime, King's was able to find the back of the net in the 87^th minute to break the tie and come away with the win.

Dan Jones started in net for the Knights and made three saves.

Neumann (0-1) will face the University of Scranton tomorrow. Action gets underway at 2:00 PM.
