The Convent Cup is designed to encourage friendly competition throughout the school year. The team that collects the most points in an academic year will be presented with The Convent Cup plaque, and earns bragging rights for the following year.
Points are earned in several ways:
1) Participation.
Simply participating in a season or tournament earns your team points! Once a team finishes a season or tournament, without being disqualified and having at least the minimum sportsmanship rating, then they earn points just for participating. Teams must keep the same name throughout the year and must maintain at least 30% of the team members for each event to qualify.
Participation in a league = 20
Participation in a tournament = 10
2) Success in the regular season
Win = 10 points
Tie = 5 points
3) Sucess in the playoffs
Win per round (must earn 2.0+ in sportsmanship) = 15 points
4) Playoff Standings
League Champion = 50 points
Semifinal Winner = 30 points
Quaterfinal Winner = 20 points
Playoff Qualifier = 10 points
5) Tournament Standings
1st Place = 50 points
2nd Place = 30 points
3rd Place = 20 points
4th Place = 10 points
