Neumann University Athletics

Helen Cooney, of the women's ice hockey team, is this week's Neumann University Athlete of the Week.

The freshman was also named the ECAC West Rookie of the Week. Cooney played a key role in helping Neumann pick up crucial league points on the road against William Smith College. The freshman made 57 saves on 59 shots on Friday, keeping the Knights in a contest they would eventually tie, 2-2.
