Anthony Mitchell, of the men's basketball team, is this week's Neumann University Athlete of the Week
Mitchell averaged 18 points and 9.3 rebounds in a 2-1 week for the Knights and was named the Atlantic East Defensive Player of the Week. Defensively, he totaled 28 rebounds, three blocks and two steals across the three games. He posted a double-double in the opening contest against Bryn Athyn, leading the way with 20 points. He narrowly missed two more double-doubles in the Holiday Inn Rochester Downtown Tournament over the weekend with eight and nine rebounds against Utica and Keuka, in that order, while he added 16 and 18 points in the two games. With his efforts, he was named to the All-Tournament team.
