Neumann University Athletics

Rachel Purpuro, of the softball team, is this week's Neumann University Athlete of the Week.

The junior was also was named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) honor roll.

Purpuro threw a complete game against Immaculata, earning the 2-1 victory. The junior collected 10 strikeouts and allowed just one run. She kept her opponents to a .154 batting average.

On the season, Purpuro is 5-2 and has struck out 58 batters in 51.2 innings.
