After two seasons at the helm of the men's tennis program, Marjie Elliott moves over the to women's team for the 2019 season.
Over her two seasons with the men's program, Coach Elliott led the Knights to two CSAC semifinal appearances. She had a 12-10 overall record and 10-4 in conference action.
Marjie Elliott comes to Neumann after numerous successful seasons coaching at the high school level. Her most recent position was as Varsity Co-Coach at Church Farm School in Exton in 2016. Elliott has also coached at several other schools dating back to 2011, including Harriton High School, Lansdale Catholic High School and Archbishop John Carroll High School. During her time at Carroll, she led the team to a Philadelphia Catholic League title.
Elliott has also been active as a tennis instructor over the last decade. From 2007 to 2009, she served as an UMLY Professional Tennis Instructor at the Upper Main Line YMCA, working with kids of all ages and skill levels to improve their game. More recently, Elliott has worked with Justin DePietropaolo and Just Tennis Enterprises as well as the Philadelphia Area Team Tennis Association as a Junior Tennis Instructor.
Elliott graduated from Villanova University with a Master's of Science in Biology degree after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also obtained a Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate from Cabrini College and has her Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) Instructor I Certification. Elliott is currently a substitute teacher in the Lower Merion Township.
