Aston Pa - The Neumann Knights defeated Alvernia College 3-0 (30-25, 30-23, 30-26) on Thursday evening in the Bruder Gymnasium in front of 153 loyal fans, in a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference match up. The Knights improve to 12-12 overall and 4-4 in the conference with the win.

Neumann led offensively by Freshman Julie Tarloski (Malvern, Pa), who had 13 kills and Allison Hazewski (Bear, DE) who had 16 digs for the Knights. Junior Jenna Halpin (Gibbsboro, NJ) had 9 kills and 2 digs to help the Knights gain victory against the visiting Crusaders.

Trish O'Gurek led the Crusaders with 16 kills in the losing effort.

The Knights were down seven (7-14) and soared back to defeat the crusades in game one 30-25. The Knights went neck in neck with the Crusaders in games two and three but managed to win the final two games 30-23 and 30-26.

The Knights will take the court Tuesday against Arcadia University in Glenside Pa.
