ASTON, PA - The Cabrini College field hockey team took a 1-0 lead in the first period, which they extended to 5-0 in the second, to shut out the Knights at Sun Valley High School this afternoon.

The 6th seed in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Tournament dropped to 6-12 overall and 5-6 in the PAC with the setback. The loss came after a 5-0 win against Marywood University earlier in the week.  The road ahead for the Knights won't get any easier as Neumann gets set to travel to Dover, Delaware to face the No. 3 seeded Wesley College on Saturday, October 29, at 2:00 p.m., in the first round of the PAC Championship Tournament.

Cabrini College (10-7, 8-2 PAC) took a 1-0 lead 26:00 into the game when Kerri Ricker scored her first of three goals in the match-up. In the second half, Ricker once again started the scoring drive for the Cavaliers finding the net in the 39th minute. Eleven minutes later it was April Kaufau giving the Cavaliers a 3-0 lead. Cabrini would go on to score two more at the hands of Jackie Small and Ricker before the day was done.

Joanne Musiolowski recorded the win in goal for the Cavaliers, Chelsea Ward took the loss for the Knights despite recording fourteen saves.
