Aston, PA - The men's ice hockey team (0-1-0) fell to SUNY Geneseo, ranked #12 in the USCHO.com/CSTV Division III Preseason Poll, 2-1, in their opening game of the season at the Ice Works Quad Rink in Aston, PA. Mitch Stephens and Kris Heeres were credited with the assist. Neumann was able to hold off Geneseo in the second period as the Knights defense only allowed five shots on goal, all of which were prevented from causing a lead extension by Knights starting goalie Mike Collichio, who had 13 saves on the night.

Neumann's Kyle Casey managed to find a gap between a group of assertive Geneseo defenders in the 13th minute of the third period.
