In their first athletic contest of the 2005-2006 season, the Knights were routed by the Sea Gulls of Salisbury University 99-82 in the opening round of the Holiday Inn Runnemede Classic hosted by Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey on Friday night. 

 

Neumann was led by senior captains Kirsten Patton and Nellie Mixon who scored 19 and 18 points respectively for the Knights. Freshman new comer Ashley Pearsal rounded out the double digit scoring for the Knights recording 14 points in the 17-point loss.

 

Patton earned her first double-double of the season recording 10 rebounds on the night. Junior guard Kim Hinkle and Mixon both recorded five assists with Mixon adding five steals to her credit.

 

The Knights, now 0-1 on the season, will face Rowan in the second game of the classic on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
