The Neumann Knights needed to overcome a six-point deficit with six minutes left, after leading 40-28 at the half, to defeat Holiday Inn Runnemede Classic tournament host, Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. Before the final buzzer sounded, Neumann managed to out score the Profs 78-72.
The Knights were once again lead by Nellie Mixon and Kirsten Patton who were named to the All-Tournament team at the conclusion of the evening's events. Patton scored her second double-double of the season recording 20 points and 16 rebounds for the Knights. Mixon added 16 points and 7 rebounds. Sophomore Kylynn McNichol went 3 for 6 from three-point land, racking up a total of 11 points against the Profs. Freshman Ashley Leonard was 7 for 8 from the foul line, contributing 11 points in the Knights 78-72 win.
Neumann will return to action on Tuesday, November 22, when they will be hosted by Penn State-Berks. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
