Neumann fired off two goals before the Valiants could get one past Neumann net minder Mike Collichio. Collichio had 47 saves in the 6-2 loss, managing 88 saves in the two ECAC West contests hosted by the Knights this weekend. Neumann defeated the Pioneers of Utica College on Friday, before falling to Manhattanville on Saturday.
Neumann was led by the duo of Josh Gaynor and Dayne Bihn who assisted on the Knights two first-period goals. Jeff Nuttall scored in the 8th minute of the game while Mike Gooch followed suit, less than four minutes later, but it was not enough to take down the ECAC West giant. Manhattenville, now 4-0 in the conference and 7-0 overall, came back to score six unanswered goals, stealing the 6-2 win over the Knights.
After this weekend's out come, Neumann moves into the third spot in the ECAC West.
The 3-3-0 Knights, will return to action on Friday, November 25, vs. Buffalo State College.
