The Knights hosted conference rival Cabrini College in front of a sell out crowd of 400 to what turned out to be an entertaining game. Neumann found themselves down early and did not get their first lead until the 4:16 mark of the first half (26-24). Neumann did not look back from that point, and ended off the emotional half with a 35-26 lead.

Cabrini made a run in the second half to take the lead with only a few minutes left in regulation. Neumann's offense fell into the hands of freshman Gregory Cunningham, who stepped up to lead the Knights to a close game, down the stretch. With less then 10 seconds on the clock, and down by 3, Coach Nugent called upon Ronnie Fields in a set decoy play, to hit a clutch three from downtown and put the game into overtime.

In over time Fields continued to make a pair of 15 foot floating jump shots to contain the lead. Freshman Ely Hitchens sealed the deal for the Knights in the dying seconds with a pair of free throws.

Ronnie Fields led with 17points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals, followed by Gregory Cunningham with 11 points. Both Andre Wright and Mike Hitchens added 8 points each to help lead the Knights to victory.
