The Neumann Knights traveled to Plattsburgh, New York for their first ECAC West Conference match up of the season. The Knights were hosted by the Cardinals of SUNY Plattsburgh in a two games series this weekend.

The Knights took to the ice on Saturday keeping the game scoreless for the majority of the first period. However, the Cardinals managed to find the net just before the 19 minute mark, giving them all they would need to earn the win.The Cardinals went on to score three more, out shooting Neumann by a 38-18 margin.

The two teams met again Sunday at the Stafford Ice Arena for the second of their two-game series. Once again the Knights were out shot and out scored 2-0.

The Cardinals scored the game winner in the 8th minute of the game and then took advantage of a power play late in the second period (15:46) to make it 2-0. The Cardinals out shot Neumann by a 29-10 margin, but it was veteran goalie Lauren Voran, who prevent Plattsburgh capitalizing on any further opportunities.

The Knights will return to action on November 11, at 7:00 p.m. when they will be hosted, in a two game series, by Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
